Stand in daylight and look at the inside of your wrist next to your jaw. If they match, you're a straightforward pick: choose the tone that looks one half-step deeper than your wrist. Shapewear sits against the body, and fabric under slight stretch reads a touch lighter than it looks in the hand.

Between two tones? Go deeper, not lighter. A slightly deeper tone vanishes under white; a lighter one flashes at the waistband.
